  I started going to Southside Baptist when my grandma asked me to take her to church, and expressed the desire to attend the church she was a member of many years ago (when she was last able to attend). From the very first time we attended, we were welcomed with open arms & hearts. No one judged my grandma for missing church for years, and even though I was at least 20 years younger than their youngest regular attendee, they treated (and still treat) me with respect. That night (of our first Sunday sermon), they had a "Witness, Praise & Worship Service" (which they do on the 5th Sunday of every month that has 5 Sundays) where I mentioned that I like to sing... That night, they invited me over and over to come forward and sing, and even allowed me to join in Song Leadership before I officially transferred my membership to their church.
  
  Southside Baptist Church & the congregation members of Southside are WONDERFUL, LOVING & CHRIST-LIKE.
  
  If you come to the Snyder/Mountain Park community or surrounding area for a visit, we would welcome you to attend Sunday school (@10:00a.m. Sundays), Pastor Tom's Sunday Sermon (@11:00 a.m. Sundays), a potluck lunch (after sermon service on the 1st Sunday of the month) or one of our "Witness, Praise & Worship services" (evenings of the 5th Sunday of the Month).
  
  I may be moving out of state for a job for a year, but I plan to KEEP the membership that I transferred to Southside Baptist Church until I get married, move to a permanent residence (something I own, not rent and definitely not during my AmeriCorps VISTA service), and start a family of my own... And I will only transfer my membership then how IF I settle more than an hour away from Southside Baptist Church.
  
  I hope to see y'all at Southside Baptist Church sometime soon! We could really use some new members...
  
  Btw.... We JUST got a new church van, and Pastor Tom plans to use it for a Van Ministry, so feel free to call if you need a ride to church. If the van is Unable to pick you up, the regularly attending church members will figure something out for you and anyone you want to bring with you.
  
  There is a nursery (overseen by an older woman with over 80 regular, great & great-great grandchildren), and up to school-age children are welcome to play in the nursery or attend the sermon as they and/or their parents desire.
